At the Edge of Time
I have stared into the eyes of a dying man, death clawing through the hole in his temple from the gun his lifeless hand holds. I have witnessed a woman's soul leave her through the tear in her throat left by a nobleman's sword; heard the cries of the babe as it was ripped from her numbing fingers. I have stood by the aristocracy as they put down peasant revolts, and I have fought for slaves' destruction of their masters. I have seen history written, lost, and forgotten. I am timeless, ageless, and eternal. I am cursed for eternity, my damnation…is life.
As these stories almost always go, I was once a powerful and respected man. I had s
Millennia in the past, before humans walked the earth, before history, there was a people that was beginning to grow beneath the Earth's surface, only a few miles from the mantle. Yet, despite their proximity to the heat of the molten rock and slag, they thrived.
Through strange sciences from their ancient history, these people could cultivate plants and creatures unknown to the surface. From these other beings they survived. The origins of these sciences were, and still are, to this day, unknown to the people, but they understood how the processes worked well enough to use and even advance them.

Long ago, in a time before humans, before the fey-folk, even before the gods there lived a people, the Forerunners. They are known by many names, but they all had one thing in common: immortality. These people could not die of old age or of sickness. The only thing that could shorten their lives was a death at the hands of another. But war was not something they knew of. Peacefully, they could walk amongst the different races of their species without radical conflict, and they populated the world.
When the gods came to Earth to cultivate the world with mortals, they met these people that already existed. Communications began between t
The world was once not as you know it now. No animals lived outside of zoos and television; no plants outside of the synthesized food stores; no weapons or anger; no doubt about anything at all. Living in this world were people, like you or I, but they were still different. Their lives were planned for them, nothing was without a cause. Yet there was a place that baffled every single one of these people, every one of the millions of billions that inhabited this city-world: a forest that seemed to have appeared over night.

In another time and space exists a realm of power and mysticism. Magic reigns within every mind, heart, and soul. The people use this power to hold peace in their world and to keep famine and disease at bay. But for all its power, this magic could not save one young man from losing all that he ever cared about.
There is a tale in this world of a young man, no older than you or I, who was a practitioner of magic. He wanted nothing more than to be the most powerful magi since he had discovered his powers, and that is what he had thought he wanted more than anything. He even turned to the d

Not a whole lot to say. I'm just me. Religion is my thing, my beliefs define a large part of me as well as understanding others'. Though I will argue for what I believe, religion or otherwise, I try as hard as I can not to judge others for what they think. Everyone is entitle to their own way of thinking, even if they're wrong. ;)
Anyway, That's about all I got. Hope y'all enjoy my stories. :D
